Kingdom & Sparrow reveal their latest brand creation for Mydflower, a Welsh sparkling wine brand that brings folklore and nature to life in every glass. Rooted in the rolling landscapes of Wales and inspired by age-old traditions, Mydflower offers a contemporary twist on country winemaking, one that celebrates both provenance and imagination.
The range debuts with two enchanting flavours: a delicately fragrant Elderflower, and a bright, crisp Raspberry. Each bottle is crafted with care on a Welsh estate, where the wild beauty of the surroundings informs both the ingredients and the brand’s storytelling. This deep connection to the land, and the mystical aura of folklore that pervades it, became the creative compass for Kingdom & Sparrow’s work.
When Mydflower approached Kingdom & Sparrow, their ambition was clear: to elevate the brand to reflect the quality of the liquid and establish themselves firmly within the premium sparkling wine market. The design needed to express refinement, while also embracing the natural whimsy and folkloric charm that makes the product so distinctive.
To capture this duality, Kingdom & Sparrow developed a suite of intricate, lino-cut style illustrations. Hares, birds and wildflowers dance across the packaging, timeless symbols of myth and magic that evoke the richness of Welsh folklore. These illustrations, embossed onto the unique bottle neck cuff, celebrate Mydflower’s roots in nature, while on the bottle label, the central embossed golden sun adds a tactile, crafted quality to the bottles, ensuring they stand apart on shelf. The illustrations of the elderflower and raspberry flowers surround the sun on each of the variants, giving the design a feeling that is at once both premium and magical.
The storytelling on both the label and cuff also extends to the liquid itself. Mydflower’s sparkling wines are a carefully balanced blend of elderflowers and raspberries, infused with pure Welsh mountain spring water, brightened with a twist of lemon, and brought to life with a delicate touch of Champagne yeast. The result is a refreshing, effervescent drink that captures the fleeting joys of summer light, fragrant, and irresistibly enchanting.
Mydflower’s new brand identity is more than a visual refresh; it’s an invitation into a world where nature, folklore, and fine winemaking converge.
