Identity in Diversity: Crafting Brand Stories with Cultural Layers

The collaboration between We Create Content (WCC) and Collective Design Agency (CDA) embodies a thoughtful blend of culture and a contemporary vision. WCC, an established editorial agency based in Vietnam, set out to redefine global perceptions of Vietnam, transcending stereotypes. When they joined forces with CDA, our shared objective was to infuse the spirit of Vietnam into our work and create a lasting impact in the market. This shared vision aligns with CDA’s core values, which resonate in their agency’s motto: “Hyper local content for global brands.”

CDA is propelled by a commitment to human-centric design, emphasizing the significance and appreciation of cultural details. This approach led us to explore the intricacies of the Vietnamese language, paying particular attention to its unique tones and diacritical marks. We skillfully converted these linguistic elements into a vibrant visual language that effectively embodies the fundamental values of WCC: insightful, spicy, and opinionated.

A pivotal aspect of this branding strategy involved departing from traditional color schemes. Instead, we embraced a diverse palette that mirrors Vietnam’s vibrant culture. The resulting visual system not only pays homage to our cultural roots but also seamlessly aligns with WCC’s contemporary and dynamic identity.

This collaboration brings together tradition and modern aesthetics, positioning WCC as the bridge for international brands to connect with the Vietnamese market authentically. It showcases a modern Vietnam deeply rooted in its rich heritage and forward-looking in its approach, reflecting CDA’s commitment to innovation and authenticity.
