Doudou Pyramids View is a boutique hotel located right by the pyramids in Giza, Cairo. Founder Mr. Khattab a hospitality enthusiast, turning the top floor of one of the oldest buildings in the area to a boutique hotel, or home as he calls it. Almost every room can view the Great Pyramids of Giza directly and the hotel itself is located less than five minutes aways from the Pyramids themself.
We created a mark that shows the pyramids view from an aerial in different times of day since almost every room has a view of the great pyramids of Giza. The concept is showing guests the pyramids from every angle possible.
That movement was used through out the marketing collateral and social media highlights to differentiate categories. The brand is made up of images of the neighborhood from the 1800 found in The Metropolitan Museum of Art archive combined with Queens Sans Extra by Kilo Type Foundry and the brand colors.
Along side the branding, vertical room signs and way-finding signs, mimicing old pharonic wall scriptures, were created to help the guests navigate the hotel while having an element of heritage to them.
A set of icons were created to highlight the different amenities of each room and different warning signs throughout the hotel. Most of Doudou’s customers don’t speak Arabic or English, hence the decision was made to help them no matter where they come from.
Doudou vows to bring that timeless comfort and hospitality that Egyptians are well know for to their guests. Love from Egypt, Love from Doudou!
