The taste for Mexican food in the United States has been expanding over the years. Chimalma is a Mexican food restaurant-bar in downtown Dallas Texas. It offers as main food Tacos and tequila. We develop the graphic identity taking elements of the culture in Mexico transferring concepts from different regions of the country.
Chimalma or Chimalman (in Nahuatl: chimalma, ‘hand shield’ ‘chimalli, shield; māitl, hand’) In Mexica mythology, she is the goddess of fertility, patron of life and death. Honoring the Mexican culture, we made an abstraction of Chimalma and we complemented the communication with auxiliary elements of said culture.
