Granada Barrero Estudio Translates Rakia Films’ Ethos into a Modular Identity of Motion and Memory

A frame, a container of stories. This is the foundation of the new graphic and digital identity of Rakia Films, created by Granada Barrero Estudio. More than a simple visual system, this identity operates as a conceptual vessel capable of holding and enhancing the diverse narratives the company brings to life.
This independent production company, founded by Dina Harovic and Bernabé Bulnes, approaches filmmaking as a craft: every project is distilled with care, precision, and soul, much like the process of making rakia itself. The company’s visual universe draws inspiration from rakia, the traditional Balkan spirit—golden, luminous, and symbolic of conviviality, transformation, and cultural heritage. Just as rakia requires patience and dedication to achieve its distinctive character, each Rakia Films production emerges through an artisanal process of research, experimentation, and refinement.
The identity combines an angular, fragmented typeface with subtle references to classic labeling aesthetics, evoking both tradition and contemporary design sensibilities. A custom iconographic system complements the typography and serves as a graphic language to visually express Rakia Films’ narrative approach and multidimensional work. Every element—from the logotype to the supporting graphics and digital applications—was conceived to balance functionality with poetic resonance.

Granada Barrero Estudio conceived the brand as a modular system: a flexible yet consistent frame that serves as a screen to showcase all the dimensions of Rakia Films. The result is a living identity capable of adapting to various formats and communication needs without losing coherence or clarity.
This visual language seamlessly connects the company’s different areas of work—not only film and video production, but also training workshops, creative gatherings, and comprehensive postproduction and final mix services for audiovisual projects. The brand architecture articulates these divisions clearly, offering each one its own recognizable space within a unified visual framework:
Rakia Films, the production core dedicated to original and commissioned films.
La Destilería, a space for workshops, ideas, and film culture, where creative professionals and audiences meet to exchange knowledge.
Alkimia PosHouse, a postproduction lab specializing in color grading, sound design, and final mix to elevate the finishing of audiovisual pieces.
Overall, this is a living, cohesive identity that reflects the storytelling essence of each project and underscores Rakia Films’ commitment to craft, authenticity, and cultural dialogue.
