Glasfurd & Walker Shape a Tactile World for Typical

Glasfurd & Walker Shape a Tactile World for Typical

There was a time when a magazine lived on your coffee table, folded open to a page you loved. A time before scrolls and swipes, when brands were built on paper and objects were made to last. Typical comes from that spirit. It rethinks the things always within reach, bringing intention to the everyday. A palette drawn from memory rather than trend. Small, thoughtful shifts that make simple objects feel a little less ordinary.

The launch catalogue is the first full expression of this world. Printed on uncoated stock and cloth-bound, it feels warm and tactile from the moment it’s held. A transparent dust cover softens the imagery beneath, creating a quiet reveal and giving the book a sense of care. Every production choice mirrors the brand’s values of restraint, material honesty, and considered design.

Inside, the photography captures slow mornings and quiet moments. Full-bleed images celebrate texture, colour, and the unique stretch of the towels, showing how they fold, drape, and live in a space. It positions the towels not only as functional objects but as part of the quiet choreography of daily life.

As our digital lives become louder, there is a growing desire for objects that feel real. Homes are tactile spaces. We touch everything. When brands speak about the home in a physical form, it resonates differently. A printed catalogue carries a sense of permanence and intention. It invites engagement rather than distraction.

The Typical catalogue was designed with this in mind. It is a small act of reclaiming how we encounter design: slowly, thoughtfully, and through touch. Every detail was considered to create a piece that feels both modern and nostalgic. The result is an object that reflects the values of the brand itself. It presents the towels not as accessories, but as part of a lived world built around comfort, practicality, memory, and style.

The Typical catalogue introduces a new perspective on a familiar category, grounding the brand in nostalgia, materiality, and the beauty of the everyday.
