Packaging the night-crawler and whisky liberator – Artful Dodger

The Artful Dodger is a rarely seen, mysterious night-crawler and whisky liberator based in London. The Artful Dodger steals from the best distilleries around the world to offer world-class whisky at reasonable price points – a hero.

Dearness Only was tasked with creating a secondary pack that keeps the whisky safe and keeps the whisky lover engaged. With only cardboard and brains how could they create something that goes beyond any other whisky brand?

Packaging worth a dram.

Do. created a puzzle at the heart of the new packaging. Eagle-eyed and sharp-minded drinkers able to decode the puzzle can join the collective for inclusive events like tastings, launches and distillery tours. Starting with a single clue, drinkers must work through several ciphers, riddles both in the box and online to gain access to the exclusive collective.

Upon release the box drew much admiration and praise from the whisky community for it’s unique, playful and rewarding approach. The box also ushered in several other riddles and puzzles for Artful Dodger in whisky clubs in London. Pick a box up and have a go at outsmarting the Artful Dodger.
