Lucky money is the name of a custom that adults give to children during the Lunar New Year in Asian countries, which is the custom of putting money in a small envelope decorated in bright red or yellow to bring luck. In Vietnamese, that amount of money is called lucky money.

The lucky money project is designed with the main image of a dragon, inspired by pixel art style. With a set of 5 vibrant colors: Red, yellow, green, dark blue, pink, reminiscent of festival flags in Vietnam, with a joyful and excited atmosphere.

I myself am also greatly influenced by those colors, I always use them as inspiration to develop my designs, to honor the beauty of colorful Vietnamese culture, and at the same time express visual language. images that I feel from life

Besides, the pixel art style also gives me a lot of inspiration. I enjoy incorporating pixels from childhood games into my current design project. It brings both nostalgia and a new look. A bit of novelty because creativity sometimes doesn’t need to follow trends.

The image of the dragon is associated with Vietnamese culture, with a unique visual style and characteristic power. Dragon is said to be a symbol of strength, majesty, and invincible power against enemies. With the Hong Bang Thi theory, Vietnamese people also consider the dragon as a symbol of origin, racial consciousness and the spirit of national solidarity. Inspired by that, I wanted to show this mascot drawing from a new perspective, still retaining the traditional beauty but bringing my own style to it.
