From Basslines to Finish Lines: Festival Running Identity Designed by Yee Poon

Ravers2Runners is a grassroots running collective based in Bristol, UK, blending movement, music, and mental wellbeing.

For summer 2025, Ravers2Runners returned with the second edition of their Festival Fun Run Series — a high-energy string of charity runs embedded within the UK festival calendar. This year’s events include appearances at Glastonbury, Boomtown, Love Saves The Day, Love Trails, FORWARDS, and Amsterdam Dance Event.

Designer Yee Poon was commissioned to create the visual identity for the series, a project that needed to channel the energy of movement, the chaos of club culture, and the community-first spirit at the heart of R2R. The result is a bold, modular identity that flexes seamlessly across festival environments, merch concepts, signage, and digital campaigns.

Creative Direction

The identity was designed to feel alive: flexible layouts, punchy colour gradients, and raw, energetic textures reflect the physicality of running and the spirit of the rave. Visually, it bridges the gap between streetwear and endurance sport, capturing the no-pressure, high-vibes ethos behind Ravers2Runners’ mantra: If you can rave in it, you can run in it.

Each event in the series was given its own adaptation of the identity, allowing for variation while keeping the visual language cohesive across touchpoints. The visual tone is raw, rhythmic, and proudly DIY, mirroring the collective’s inclusive, no-pressure approach to fitness and mental health.

Impact

Every run in the series raises money for local charities, supporting causes such as mental health, food justice, and community development. The project was featured by BBC Radio 6 Music (with presenter Jamz Supernova taking part in the Glastonbury run), and continues to grow in profile with each new event.
