A bold Cabernet Franc born from the heart of Mendoza’s Uco Valley, shaped by the vision of Kaiken Wines, and crafted with a mindset that values honesty over ornament, substance over noise. Its name plays on a dual meaning: it is both a Cabernet Franc, and it is frank — direct, unapologetic, unafraid to be exactly what it is.
When the great team at Kaiken approached us with the idea of creating a wine that speaks its truth, we understood right away that this was more than a product. It was an attitude. A story about courage, restraint, and the elegance of simplicity.
Frankly is the result of a journey that challenged traditional paths, embracing instinct and curiosity over predictability. A wine born from risk, not repetition. From the freedom to question, explore, and express something personal. And in that freedom, something essential was revealed: when you’re true to yourself, you don’t need to explain much.
At Jacomy Mayne, our task was to capture this essence through design. We sought an identity that felt as effortless and refined as the wine itself. One that didn’t shout, but instead held presence in its simplicity. Minimal, but never cold. Sophisticated, but never forced. A design that breathes with the same quiet confidence as the wine — intentional, yet free.
The result is a label that lets the wine speak first. Elegant typography, understated materials, and a sense of balance between tradition and modernity. Nothing superfluous. Everything with purpose.
Frankly doesn’t try too hard — because it doesn’t have to. It knows what it is. And that’s exactly enough.
