Inspired by Fluxus -an international avant-garde collective of artists and composers founded in the1960s-, this contemporary bar-restaurant suggests a new, post-modern cuisine to the city of Larissa. Multidisciplinary, revolutionary, and rebellious, Fluxus’s visual identity was composed of asymmetrical, thick typography full of character and creativity. Promoting open art for everyone, the Fluxus art movement lends the restaurant its unconventional identity. Intentionally uncategorizable, Fluxus projects were wide-ranging and often multidisciplinary, humorous, and based on everyday, inexpensive materials and experiences. It included and inspired a wide swath of creatives, including poets, musicians, composers, designers, as well as artists. The Fluxus movement revolutionized the art world, helping to radically change notions of what art could be.

Following the same idea of going against commercialism, elitism, and society’s conventions, Sowl creative studio designed a different, “anarchist” visual image for an avant-garde cuisine that goes beyond the usual flavor combinations. Standing out with an artsy character at the core of its identity, Fluxus Post Modern Cuisine suggests a new way of dining in the center of the city. The unique concept is present throughout the brand imagery and packaging implementations, communicating the restaurant’s philosophy in the best way possible. A different specially designed, yet familiar, and comfortable environment completes the visual identity that brings out all the feelings that art conveys to its audience.
