Energising Action for Stammering Children: A Vibrant Brand Transformation

Following on from an initial strategy project, we worked closely with the Action for Stammering Children team over a period of months to develop their visual identity — built on the values of “welcoming”, “can-do” and “assured” that were established during the strategy phase — creating a brand that is bursting with energy and packed full of expression at all touch points.

The brand looks to empower young people who stammer, ensuring they have access to the resources available to them. The brand project teed up the design and development of a new website by Clear Honest Design which is now live, featuring beautifully simple audience-based navigation.

The identity focusses on amplification — with the logo projecting the words forward and celebrating the irregular arrangement of the lettering. Waveform visuals lead core applications — combined with bold, positive messaging — that use scale to represent confidence and empowerment.

The brand is positive and playful by nature, creating a welcoming aesthetic that aims to empower the various audiences. Through characterful typography, photography direction, custom icon styling and colour usage — it is vibrant, welcoming and action-oriented.

The launch of Action for Stammering Children’s rebrand coincides with their recent BBC appeal, where Colin Firth presents an appeal on behalf of the organisation.

We have really enjoyed working with Action for Stammering Children on this project and can’t wait to see the brand applied over the coming months and years.
