El Observador, a cornerstone of journalism in Uruguay for over 30 years, embarked on a transformative journey to revitalize its brand identity, reflecting its growth ambitions and enhancing its global presence in Spanish-language journalism.

The Challenge

In an era where media competition intensifies globally, El Observador recognized the need to evolve. The challenge was twofold: to enhance its visual identity to reflect modernity and professionalism, and to reinforce its reputation as a leading voice within the industry.

Strategic Approach

Our collaboration went beyond traditional design; it was a strategic partnership. Through workshops and sessions, we dove deep into El Observador’s core values and vision, crafting a brand tone and positioning that resonate with its mission and audience.

Design Execution

Logo Redesign: The new logo respects El Observador’s heritage while meeting modern media’s functional demands. We refined the typography and introduced a balanced “O,” symbolizing the fusion of tradition and innovation.

Monogram Creation: A sleek “EO” monogram was developed to serve as a compact representation of the brand, ensuring recognizability across various digital platforms and physical media.

Visual Identity System

We developed a comprehensive visual system centered around the dynamic “O.” This system adapts across different media, from digital platforms like social media to traditional print, ensuring consistent yet flexible branding that appeals to a tech-savvy, contemporary audience.
