Chiflar is an Ecuadorian brand that converts natural and local ingredients into healthy, vegan and delicious snacks that offer a sensory experience to anyone who consumes them. Their star product, the plantain chips, are sold not only in Ecuador but in many countries such as the United States, Germany, Panama, Perú, etc. The brand was known for its quality product however its previous packaging was not working. It had too many elements as well as it had a gigantic naming issue since nobody knew what was the brand’s real name. With this problem / opportunity the client contacted us to rebrand the whole experience, starting with their creative strategy, identity design, logo design, art direction and especially, packaging design.
What’s Unique?
We took real photographs of the plantain chips and actually tasted more than 30 similar brands in order to be sure what was our product Unique selling proposition. We created a minimal, simple yet modern packaging that stands out from its competition by the predominant use of a white background with pops of bright colors.
