Dragon and Phoenix, Longevity and Harmony
“Cloisonné glows like jade – dragon breathes fire,
Ancient trees give fragrance – phoenix hides in tea.”
Long Phuong Truong Nien comprises two premium-grade Pu’er teas, a raw and a ripe variety:
the 1999 Hidden Pu’erh Tea ( Thanh Pho Huong ) and the 1999 Imperial Pu’erh Tea ( Lao Pho Huong )
It is perfected and encased in a traditional cloisonné box, a craft once reserved exclusively for imperial architecture and royal use. The box is exquisitely crafted by artisan Do Huu Triet,
who reignited the radiant golden splendor of Hue cloisonné after nearly two decades of the craft being lost.
This creation is born from pride and a love drawn from the endless flow of indigenous culture.
1999 Imperial Pu’erh Tea
Lão Phổ Hương 1999 (1999 Imperial Pu’erh Tea) Is a ripe (shou) Puerh tea, crafted in 1999 from ancient snow shan tea trees, aged from 200 to 600 years. Exemplifying the finest qualities of aged shou Pu’erh, it boasts a deep amber-red liquor and an aroma redolent of precious woods, forest undergrowth in the dry season, and the rich scent of earth. Its aftertaste is round, sweet, warming, and serene.
Drinking a cup of Imperial Pu’erh Tea is like meditating in the morning mountain mist, listening to time drip softly down stone cliffs, and finding peace and stillness in the midst of life.
Imperial Pu’erh Tea cake rests in a golden cloisonné box, adorned with cloud-veiled dragons — emblems of imperial power and soaring spirit. Hidden Pu’erh Tea cake resides gracefully in a celestial blue cloisonné box, featuring phoenix motifs — symbols of wisdom and auspicious peace.
Imperial Pu’erh Tea is known for aiding hangover relief and digestion, preventing weight loss, and protecting stomach and gut health. With its unique flavor that becomes richer over time and its wonderful health benefits, Imperial Pu’erh tea is a favorite among tea connoisseurs in many countries, with both appreciationand collection value.
1999 Hidden Pu’erh Tea
Thanh Phổ Hương 1999 (1999 Hidden Pu’erh Tea) is a raw (sheng) Puerh tea, harvested from ancient Shan Tuyết tea trees aged between 200 and 600 years old in the high mountains of northern Vietnam and pressed into cakes in 1999. Over two decades of silent aging, it has naturally fermented, evolving from its early sharp astringency into a layered, contemplative aroma – delicate notes of dried flowers, subtle depth, and a sweet aftertaste like a hidden spring flowing beneath stone mountains.
This is a tea for the seekers – those who listen to the quiet movement of time and appreciate the silent maturation of an ancient raw tea.
Hidden Pu’erh Tea stands out for its ability to aid in alcohol detoxification, cleanse the body, reduce blood fat, and prevent the risk of obesity. With its health benefits and unique transformation over time, Thanh Phổ Hương is highly sought after by tea connoisseurs and is considered a form of investment in many countries.
Hue Cloisonné
– The Royal Artisanal Heritage
In the ancient capital of Huế – a sacred land of golden dragons and jade phoenixes – there exists an art form that once lit up the imperial citadel with its radiance: pháp lam (cloisonné enamel). This craft is the convergence of exquisite workmanship, deep knowledge of metals, colored enamels, blazing fire, and the cultural symbolism of Vietnam’s royal court.
Cloisonné is the art of enameling on metal, primarily copper. Though introduced to Vietnam in the 17th century, it was not until the Nguyễn Dynasty that the craft truly flourished, reaching its artistic zenith.
The cloisonné process involves shaping the metal, applying colorful enamel motifs, then firing it at high temperatures so the enamel melts and crystallizes into a glossy, durable, gem-like finish. The final product is a fusion of flame, color, and form – a beauty both luxurious and enigmatic.
Embodies the royal aesthetic, adorned with imperial motifs like dragons, unicorns, turtles, and phoenixes, as well as the four noble flowers – lotus, apricot, chrysanthemum, and bamboo – set against dazzling backgrounds of imperial gold, celestial blue, and jade green. Each piece reflects the refined artistic vision of the royal court: elegance, majesty, and timelessness.
Thanks to its exceptional beauty and enduring quality, pháp lam appeared throughout royal architecture – embellishing pillars, roofs, and screens – as well as in ritual objects (incense burners, censers, candle holders) and courtly utensils (teapots, boxes, trays, name plaques).
Hue cloisonné is more than a craft – it is a language of fire and time, where each gleaming enamel layer tells an epic of art, power, and national identity. To behold a piece of cloisonné is to witness the radiant legacy of a bygone dynasty – resplendent and eternal, like the enamel itself.
