Yee Poon was commissioned to create the visual identity and campaign assets for Dry Run 2026, Ravers2Runners’ annual sober pub run in Bristol. It’s a fun twist on the traditional pub crawl, where teams run between independent venues sampling low/no alcohol drinks while raising money for a local cause.
The concept leans into fund-raving: nightlife energy, but built for everyone. Dry Run pairs the attitude of a rave flyer with the accessibility of a social run. Visually, the system is intentionally lived-in: clashing neon colour, tactile print texture, and lo-fi digital artefacts to feel like fly-posted posters that have been handled, weathered, re-scanned and reassembled.
A bold, high-contrast typographic hierarchy keeps the essentials legible across fast-moving social formats and real-world print. The identity is sharpened with the ‘spicy’ serif Tartuffo by Lift Type, used as a distinctive voice against heavy sans and punchy stamp-like messaging.
Merch and ephemera extended the campaign into the city: co-branded coasters with Arbor Ales, and reusable half-pint cups co-branded with TrueStart Coffee, alongside on-the-day signage and wayfinding.
The central motif: a pixelated greyhound, acts as both icon and attitude. It’s a nod to the event’s inclusive, pack-mentality spirit: fast if you want it, social if you don’t, and welcoming to all fitness levels. Dry Run is designed for everyone: runners, walkers, kids, buggies, and dogs. The greyhound becomes a simple, recognisable mark of that friendly momentum and togetherness.
The identity was rolled out across a full set of campaign touchpoints, including print posters, social posts, animated assets for socials, and merch.
The event was sponsored by Arbor Ales and TrueStart Coffee, with venue hosting and the afterparty held at Lost Horizon. Proceeds were donated to Caring in Bristol, supporting local homelessness initiatives, with the 2026 edition raising nearly £2,000.
