Dollop is here to disrupt the British sauce market with a fresh, vibrant approach to branding that turns tradition on its head. In a category crowded with heritage-focused and conservative packaging, Dollop takes a stand with unapologetic boldness, proving that sauces can be fun, exciting, and full of personality. The aim was to create a brand that not only celebrates classic British flavours but also appeals to younger, trend-conscious consumers who like to shop at independent food stores craving something different. From fry-ups slathered in ketchup to burgers loaded with mayo to ham sarnies smothered in mustard, this is the sauce brand that takes your meal to the next level.

With vibrant packaging, cheeky messaging, and a confident, rebellious tone, Dollop aims to redefine how sauces are perceived. The branding embraces the playful side of British culture, with modernity to create a product that feels fresh, fun, and unmistakably different.

Unlike the glass jars and bottles associated with traditional sauces, Dollop’s products come in convenient, 100% recyclable black squeezy bottles designed for ease of use and a bit of saucy fun. To keep things eco-friendly, the brand also offers eco-refill pouches, making it easy to refill your bottle and reduce waste. Additionally, print finishes on the label add a tactile experience for the consumer when the product is in hand, something rarely seen with traditional sauce labelling.

A custom typographic logo word mark was designed with rounded corners and letters positioned in a non-uniform way to create a sense of fluid movement in a clean and minimal style. The colour palette choice was specifically designed to disrupt in some categories; for example, brown sauce, usually associated with blue, is now in bold purple packaging, while salad cream, traditionally seen in cream-coloured bottles, breaks the mould with fresh, vibrant green.

By embracing a bold, confident identity, Dollop not only stands out on the shelf but also connects with a new generation of consumers looking for something with a bit more personality. It’s not just about sauce, it’s about creating an experience that adds excitement to every meal. With its rebellious, unapologetic approach, Dollop proves that tradition doesn’t have to mean boring.
