In the highlands of Colombia’s Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Divino Café cultivates more than just coffee—it preserves a sacred connection to nature, ancestral heritage, and the mysticism of the land. Each sun-drenched bean carries the whisper of misty peaks, the rhythm of vibrant flora, and the soul of an ancient territory.
For this Special Edition packaging series—Santa Marta 500 Years, Biodiversity, Women Coffee Growers, Ancestral, and Sanctuary—I was commissioned to craft a visual identity that would transcend decorative aesthetics and become a storytelling medium. The challenge was to design packaging that not only looked premium but also conveyed the rich cultural and environmental narratives behind each theme.
The design approach is rooted in visual clarity and conceptual depth: clean line work, geometric structures, solid color fields, and textures built through repetition. Inspired by Colombia’s natural landscape, the color palette includes maritime blues, earthy greens, ochres, and clay reds—tones chosen to awaken sensory memory and evoke a strong sense of place.
Rather than aiming for a handcrafted look, I developed a distinctive illustration language that feels refined and contemporary. The visual system respects existing brand elements while enhancing them through a more structured and expressive design language.
Ultimately, the project is more than packaging—a visual architecture that balances brand hierarchy, product clarity, and narrative illustration. Each box becomes a canvas where identity, culture, and storytelling merge into a premium yet emotionally resonant product experience.
