DesignThought Creates a Striking Identity for Half-Time Beer Celebrating Football Culture

A brand born from the simplest insight.
Watching football is enjoyed with a cold beer – Half-Time is a new brand, perfectly made for the beautiful game.

A unique and ambitious idea.
Football is not just the UK’s national sport, it’s the worlds. 3.5 billion people from all backgrounds, race, age and gender love the beautiful game. Watching football is enjoyed far beyond the stadium walls. From sports bars and pubs, to garden sheds and living room sofas, the matchday buzz is a cauldron of anticipation and excitement. So much more than the game, it’s a chance to enjoy a cold beer, catch up with mates and embrace the ups and downs of being a football fan.

From this universal insight, came a unique idea. A beer brand that promotes smaller breweries close to football clubs. All creating their own great, quality beer, with a little nod to their local team. Different breweries, different beers, different clubs, visually bound by the geometry of football and a play on club nicknames.

A very unique identity.
DeisgnThought created an original and striking visual identity that speaks directly to football fans. Each can and beer represents a well known football club, neatly combining the semiotics and geometry of football in a simple graphic that captures their popular nickname.

Building the entire brand from the football ground up, DesignThought also generated the Half-Time name,
(a tilt to the game itself and the moment for refreshment), along with creating the right tone of voice to appeal across a wide and varied consumer base.
