Photography is the record of how we live and survive today. Photography is poetry for the eyes, it is memory for the heart. And guided by his passion, Dener Reis decided that this is how he would spend most of his days: dedicated to capture moments, details, smiles, to transmit a message to the future by the fractions of seconds that eternalize an emotion.

Time is the moving image of the immovable eternity. The passage of time is relative, the impression is that when we are happy, the hours are diluted in the blink of an eye. The main concept of this project seeks to translate the relationship between time, history, photography, and religion – the last one an important pillar in photographer Dener’s life.

The logo synthesizes and represents elements such as the hourglass, the photograph, the cross and the stained-glass windows, each one carefully chosen and integrated into the grid composed by the rule of thirds.

The hourglass symbolizes the eternal passing of time that ends, in the human cycle, with death. But it also means a possibility of reversing time, a return to the origins – just like the photos provide us.

Easy to be penetrated and plastic, sand embraces the forms that are molded to it: like photography, which registers our pathways, the moments of our lives.

The window represents receptivity and openness to outside influences. Square windows represent earthly receptivity, for they receive what is sent from heaven. Like a gift, coming from God.

Stained-glass is an architectural element made up of pieces of glass, usually colored, combined to form designs. As an album, constructed of small “pieces” that together tell a story.
