We were approached with an idea for a new “food court”-like restaurant. The client envisions a place where people with busy lives can quickly enjoy delicious food. They want to create an easy and enjoyable dining experience that caters to different tastes and preferences.
Conceived as a culinary haven, this place would unite various cuisines under one roof. The area would feature different stations where customers can conveniently order their preferred dishes. Ideal for those with a lively and fast-paced lifestyle, it would be the perfect spot to grab a quick, delicious bite.
Entrusted with a dynamic challenge, our mission was to create a name and craft an encompassing brand identity that would emphasize the concept’s distinctiveness and forge an emotional bond with the audience.
Our journey began with a simple yet profound notion: just like train stations play a crucial role in enabling people to move around a city, we recognized that “stations” are woven into the fabric of daily life. This served as the inspiration behind the name we carefully chose for the new restaurant: “Degustation.” It embodies the essence of our concept, where diverse “food stations” stand as inviting hubs, each presenting a different culinary experience. This arrangement empowers people to pause and savor a taste of various cuisines, much like travelers alighting at different stops to explore a city’s offerings.
The identity of the brand highlights the way people live in the city, showing things like crosswalks, bicycles, and people on the go. These images capture the energetic pace of life, where everyone is moving around quickly. The design wants to make customers feel like they’re a part of this bustling lifestyle. It’s like a visual reflection of how they go about their days, with familiar things they see as they hurry through the city. We wanted customers to see a reflection of their own lives in the design that’s both striking and relatable. By creating a design that resonates with their own lifestyles, we hoped to establish a connection that’s not only strong but also speaks directly to them. This way, customers would feel a genuine sense of belonging and comfort as they engage with our brand.
