Withernot reimagines classic outdoor apparel rugby shirts, in bold, modern color ways. It’s name was inspired by the lesser known clause of J.R.R. Tolkein’s “All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost.” The brand mark designed for Withernot harkens the strong, old tree with deep roots, woven as one continuous line referencing its outdoor and rock climbing focus specifically. The brand identity is designed to respond to the shirts’ engaging color ways, with the tree mark freely changing colors in their influence.
