The Brief
Spiral Cellars, the market leaders for luxury wine storage, were looking for a brand refresh to make them more distinctive and showcase their personality. Our challenge was to make sure the brand stood out from their competitors, without compromising on their quality, expertise and prestige. They also had a new, innovative product to launch and needed a brand to complement it.
The Strategy & Branding
We worked collaboratively with the team, holding brand workshops with all leaders in the business, to immerse ourselves in the brand and learn about their rich, 40-year history. We thoroughly researched their audience to understand their motivations and what inspires them when it comes to luxury brands.
Using this strong foundation, we defined the brand DNA to showcase their personality and passion. This new brand personality was applied to all messaging to ensure a meaningful connection with their audience and create consistency across the brand.
We brought the new brand identity to life with a luxurious, coffee-table-inspired brochure. Using our distinctive brand kit, we ensured that the brand story and products were communicated to the audience in a way that was both inspiring and informative, and flowed effectively. The rich greens and gold connote luxury, complemented by a prestigious, new typeface and desire-inducing photography. To create coherence across the brand, we also designed key pages of the website, a fleet of vans, and a range of flexible ad templates to launch their new product, the UnSpiral Cellar.
The result
The new brand gives Spiral Cellars a distinctive edge in the market, showcasing their passion and excellence in a way that invokes wonder in their audience. The new product has launched successfully and the cohesive brand experience and high-end brochure have been well-received both in the business, and by the audience
