Creating a Brand Identity for a New Early Learning Centre

Little Wonders Early Learning is a new breed of childcare that fosters magical moments of wonder and encourages children to express their unique individuality… all they needed was a brand identity to match their proposition!

Little Wonders Early Learning is an exciting new education and wellbeing model in Ballarat that brings all the best ideas, philosophies and experience into one place. With a myriad of child care centres in the region, Shane and Natalie approached The Edison Agency to help build a brand that reflected their centre’s point of difference. Edison was tasked with creating a brand identity and language system that captured the philosophy of the new centre, followed by roll out across a custom-built website.

Our design solution reflected the centres contemporary positioning, creating a vibrant and playful visual language. The abstract shapes and unique typography cue arts and craft, echoing the centres tactile approach to learning.

The colour palette is bold and fun, without going down the typical primary colour palette seen in the childcare industry. The result is a new brand identity that shows Little Wonders’ professional yet disruptive positioning, cementing them as leaders in the industry

With so many childcare centres in the Ballarat region, Little Wonders Early Learning needed to stand out from the pack, and effectively communicate their positioning of childcare done differently.

The new identity system needed to: Align to their professional yet disruptive positioning. Have high visual impact in a congested sector. Capture the philosophy of the centre and Appeal to both parents and children

Edison’s design and brand language system sought to capture the ‘Wonderment’ philosophy unique to Little Wonders Early Learning. Through crafted shapes and typography, contemporary colours and playful language, Edison was able to create an energetic yet professional visual language that extends well beyond its brand mark.
