Confetti Design Studio Redesigned B Natural’s Packaging to Launch the Bestselling Coconut Water in India

Confetti Design Studio Redesigned B Natural’s Packaging to Launch the Bestselling Coconut Water in India

Product: Coconut Water
Brand: B Natural (ITC)

We redesigned the packaging for B Natural (ITC) Coconut Water with one clear ambition to elevate coconut water from being just refreshing to being credibly healthy.

About the brand:
B Natural (ITC) is a trusted Indian beverage brand with strong recall and a loyal consumer base. However, despite coconut water being one of the cleanest natural beverages available, it often sits in a blind spot—overshadowed by drinks like green tea, protein shakes, and functional powders that communicate health more aggressively.

The problem wasn’t the product.
It was visibility of its benefits.

About the product:
Coconut water is naturally low in calories, free from added sugar, and sourced straight from nature. Yet, in the previous packaging, these strengths were buried. The oversized logo and unclear hierarchy left little room to tell the real story—why this drink deserves a place in a daily wellness routine.

Our objective was to make health instantly legible at first glance.

About the design:
The redesign focused on improving communication while retaining familiarity—ensuring existing consumers felt reassured, not alienated.

We achieved this through three precise design decisions:
1. Clear Health-First Hierarchy:
The new layout gives prominence to the most important facts—21 kcal, No Added Sugar, and Sourced from Tamil Nadu. These cues are now visible within seconds, helping even first-time buyers immediately understand the product’s health value.
2. Trust Through Origin & Simplicity:
Highlighting Tamil Nadu—one of India’s most trusted coconut-growing regions—adds authenticity and reassurance. The minimal copy, clean spacing, and white base reinforce purity and transparency rather than over-claiming.
3. Watercolor Illustration Language:
The coconut illustration is rendered in a soft, watercolor style—intentionally handcrafted rather than hyper-real. This choice brings warmth and humanity to the pack, subtly communicating that the product is natural, gentle, and minimally processed—not industrial or artificial.

Easter egg:
The gentle palm trees and flowing strokes echo coastal calm and tropical freshness, visually reinforcing hydration and lightness—without needing to say it out loud.

Brand’s extension:
By retaining the familiar green-and-white palette, the redesign stays rooted in category norms while dramatically improving clarity. The pack feels instantly recognizable yet noticeably smarter—bridging legacy trust with modern health-conscious communication.

Current scenario:
With the redesigned packaging, B Natural (ITC) Coconut Water now clearly claims its space as a clean, everyday wellness beverage. The pack educates without overwhelming and reassures without shouting—proving that sometimes, better hierarchy is all it takes to unlock a product’s true potential.
