This project presents a conceptual Swiss-style packaging redesign for traditional soda (sodium) boxes. Emphasizing minimalism and functionality, the design adopts clean lines, bold typography, and a striking color palette to create a modern and visually appealing package.
The redesigned soda boxes come in two primary categories: sodium carbonate for cleaning and sodium bicarbonate for food use. Each category is clearly distinguished by color coding—blue for cleaning products and a vibrant red and yellow gradient for food products. This visual differentiation helps consumers quickly identify the product they need.
The front of each box features the product name “SODA” in large, white Helvetica font, maintaining a consistent and straightforward appearance. Below the product name, the intended use (“For cleaning” or “For food”) is prominently displayed, followed by the chemical name (sodium carbonate or sodium bicarbonate). The clean layout ensures that the essential information is easy to read at a glance.
Additional information, such as usage instructions and product benefits, is included in smaller text to maintain the minimalist aesthetic. The sides of the boxes provide manufacturing details, contact information, and a barcode, ensuring all necessary details are available without cluttering the primary design.
Overall, this Swiss-style redesign transforms traditional soda packaging into a sleek, functional, and aesthetically pleasing product that stands out on the shelves while ensuring clarity and ease of use for consumers.
