Club Italiano, a Modern Italian Supper Club Reinvented by Adelahaye at Grand Hyatt Jakarta

Club Italiano is a bold new culinary and cultural concept located within the Grand Hyatt Jakarta. Created by ADELAHAYE Strategic Branding & Design under the direction of Alexander de la Haye, this project reimagines the Italian taverna as a contemporary supper club, where refined dining, spirited atmosphere, and expressive design come together.

The brand draws inspiration from early Italian Futurism, particularly the graphic works of Fortunato Depero, infusing movement, modernism, and typographic boldness into every layer of the identity. With a skewed logo form, a palette of rich jewel tones, and custom house patterns referencing vintage Italian packaging, the identity system avoids cliché while capturing the essence of Italian vibrancy.

This distinctive visual language extends into every touchpoint of the venue, from menus and signage to facade applications and digital storytelling. Working closely with SDSI Design Tokyo, ADELAHAYE also advised on key decorative interior and architectural elements, ensuring the brand’s visual rhythm is echoed in spatial form through layered textures, velvet finishes, bespoke lighting, and curated details.

More than just a restaurant, Club Italiano is a bar, lounge, and cultural experience. The concept evolves through the night, from aperitivo hour and intimate dinners to DJ led evenings and performance activations. This seamless transition is supported by an open kitchen, Italian wine cellars, and a curated cocktail programme, all woven into a guest journey that blurs the boundary between restaurant and club.

The brand narrative unfolds across operations and experience design, with messaging, motion content, and activation concepts all reinforcing the theme of Italian spirit through a contemporary lens. In a city known for its diverse F&B offerings, Club Italiano sets a new standard, rooted in heritage, elevated by design, and alive with energy.
