Citrus Golf: Visual Identity

Welcome to Citrus Golf, where you don’t need a hole-in-one to have a zest for fun! An exclusive member-based community for enthusiasts, Citrus Golf wants to redefine leisure on the course, infusing play and exploration, making the sport inviting and revitalising. Members can expect to tee off, unwind and enjoy juicy benefits, events, and privileges that only enhance the game. Every swing is a celebration; a dose of Vitamin G(olf) accessible to all.

Recognising a need for a more relaxed and leisurely approach to the sport, Citrus Golf’s vision was to infuse the citrus-inspired spirit of fun and freshness into its brand. Citrus fruits are inviting, energising, and revitalising, and these were characteristics that Citrus Golf sought to embody as part of its brand identity.

“Easy peasy, lemon squeezy,” who knew this idiom would serve as Aquí’s guiding “principle” for this design concept? There is an inherent vibrancy and ease associated with zesty citrus fruits, a feeling that Aquí aimed to encapsulate through layers of thoughtful design elements.

The starting point was apparent: colours. Nature’s palette offers a spectrum of lively citrus hues, from lime green to tangerine, each as neon and electrifying as the next. The next element explored was shape as the rounded silhouettes shared by both citrus fruits and golf balls immediately lit the creative fuse. That led to the conception of a funky custom typeface warped into the shape of a ball, which embodies the essence of “a ball of fun.” To juice it even further, wavy details were introduced, reminiscent of the splash of juice or a cross-section of cut citrus fruit.

The crowning touch came with the creation of Robby, the endearing club mascot, the embodiment of Citrus Golf’s vibrant spirit and sense of community. Mascots play a vital role in personifying the brand’s identity and values, creating an emotional connection with members. As a stylish persona worn by Citrus Golf members, Robby is a badge of honour, representing the camaraderie within the community.

Seamlessly weaving these elements together, our design delivers a visually stimulating and cohesive brand identity, exuding fun, playfulness, and boundless energy.
