Following the launch of their Robert’s brand of Gin, Oak House Distillery came to CF Napa to create the packaging for their eponymous Rum series.

From the brand’s website: “Oak House Distillery was founded in 2020 by UGA scientists with a passion for crafting artisanal spirits. It has the distinction of being the first legal distillery in Athens since the 1860s. The distillery produces award-winning botanical gins and Jamaican-style rums, with organic vodka being our latest release. Located in the old Henry Bishop home built in 1864, Oak House Distillery is a unique Georgia destination. Their Goil House Rum is single barrel Jamaican style rum created from fermented molasses and cane juice expertly distilled and crafted to perfection. Each barrel imparts a subtle variation to the rich caramel noted consistently offering a soft welcoming warmth to ruthless pirates and landlubbers alike. Their Silver House Rum, is an rich ester-forward Jamaican-style silver rum, reminiscent of rums from the time of the dread pirate Bartholomew Robert’s (Black Bart). ”

Inspired by the storied connection between Rum, pirates, and the famous Captain Roberts, the most successful pirate in the Golden Age of Piracy, CF Napa drew an icon reminiscent of the recognizable Jolly Roger flag. In CF Napa’s reimagining of the symbol, the skull wears a captain’s hat with an “O” initial representing Oak House. The crossbones are replaced with sugar cane as a nod to sugarcane molasses that is distilled for the Rums. The black label completes the vision of a pirate flag and serves as the dramatic backdrop for the silver and gold foil details on their respective Rums.
