Casa Alía is a platform that represents fine contemporary and traditional Spanish crafts selected by Tomás Alía.
I created an elegant type form and overall identity to fit the vision and Spanish heritage design brands, with custom pattern design to embellish in an elegant and undertone way while still giving importance to the beautiful heritage design objects represented. Working closely with the brand founder Tomas, I was able to translate his vision into a timeless identity.
Custom typography was designed, playing with printed patterns on canvas until a final outcome was approved and finding the right balance of colors that elevate the products was key.
Casa Alía is beginning an exciting trip through workshops throughout Spain in search of artisan excellence
Tomás Alía is an indisputable reference in the field of Spanish architecture and design in recent decades. This success is supported by a kaleidoscopic look, with multiple aesthetic references, which provide him with an infinite number of tools and colors in the palette for his exquisite projects for homes, hotels, restaurants and museums. A constant source of inspiration for him is the world of craftsmanship, which underlies all levels of his work.
Handicrafts always have a lot to tell, through the manufacturing technique, the materials, the artisan’s own trade, and its history … And when they tell you all the wealth linked to a piece of handicraft, the effect it produces is that you want take care of it so that it grows old with you and you can pass it on as a personal inheritance.
