For this year’s London Design Festival, Campbell Hay has revitalised Islington Design District with a fresh identity and curated a design-led programme from a diverse range of local talent and international brands, re-establishing Islington as a design destination.
The visual identity by Campbell Hay focuses on the themes of reconnection and discovery, celebrating the creative partners of the event through the use of the forms found in their work. Playing on the idea of iconic silhouettes in industrial and furniture design, the forms in the identity are playfully abstracted to create a sense of discovery.
The line-up of Islington Design District partners includes the likes of Sam Jacob Studio, NKDWare, Dominic Mckenzie Architects, Marion Deuchars and Bench Studio. Showcases, pop-ups, live events and workshops make up the programme which is centred at Islington Square and scattered around the borough throughout the London Design Festival.
Islington Design District is free to visit for the general public.
