Cafeopia: Brewing a Unique Coffee Experience with Handcrafted Identity and Innovative Packaging Designs

A client came to us with a bold aspiration: to create a fresh and unique café concept that not only offers an extensive range of coffee options sourced from various corners of the globe but also delectable confections and an innovative selection of coffee-infused cocktails. Their aim was to establish a space where people could not only indulge in exceptional coffee but also explore a delightful fusion of flavors in a relaxed and inviting setting.
They were in search of an appropriate brand name and a distinct identity that would encapsulate the essence of their business concept. We drawing inspiration directly from the nature of the business idea. With the intention of evoking a sense of place, we created the name “Cafeopia.” Additionally, our creative team formulated a compelling slogan that captured the brand’s core essence: “Café about coffee.” This concise yet evocative phrase conveys the brand’s focus and dedication to the world of coffee, setting the tone for the unique experience they aim to offer.
Our visual identity concept revolves around hand-picked beans, making human hands the centerpiece. Unlike other brands that typically use traditional characters, we took a unique approach for Cafeopia. We turned human hands into characters, giving the brand a unique and special identity. Using a combination of intricate patterns and a thoughtfully curated color palette, we enhanced the hand illustrations, accentuating attributes of femininity or masculinity and giving them personality traits.
To tailor our approach to individual products, we portrayed the hands in diverse positions, showcasing them holding objects such as coffee beans or cubes of sugar. The identity has been applied to the packaging of a large variety of coffees, as well as coffee cups, cup coasters, and takeaway holders. Modern digital printing technology allowed us to create various brand identity variations on multiple products, enabling our client to experiment with different designs and determine which packaging resonated best with consumers.
