Olith is an oil brand from the Tarragona area, with a highly personalised product. We wanted to transmit this briefing directly to the consumer in the design of the packaging, not being “one more”, nor a premium packaging, but providing and transmitting the values that the farmer puts on his product. Passion for making, good product at an optimal price and avoiding mass distribution channels, that was the briefing. We worked with a sober, elegant graphic, with a communicative tone in the first person, trying to transmit those values, for that reason we put an image of a branch of its olive trees, thinking that each label, each bottle, each can, had a little piece of history of the farm.
We created a very significant stamp as a qualifier for the geographical area, Tarragona.The design was applied on a special bottle for oil, which allowed us almost manual bottling, as well as a can in a 3-liter format, this being initially an adhesive label, in the future it will be pad printed.
In the market we saw many references, but our team, during the debrief, agreed that in the current of this type of oils everything tends towards a premium packaging, or extra-premium, with classic color codes, (black, gold stampings, very fine fonts, etc …), precisely we wanted to flee from it, also because the briefing demanded it from us. We think that introducing a summary image of your own farms to the project, the use of color codes, in shades of green (like the product), would help define the range and, in turn, be able to grow the range of products from horizontally, always with this same hierarchy and without entering into premiunisation.
We also develop the graphics applied to the boxes, on a 100% recycled krakf cardboard, since the project is a sustainable project (for example, the tractor uses non-fossil fuels), which makes it attractive to a wider audience. The box is currently not printed, purely due to production costs.
We firmly believe in this project, the first results in the market are positive, being able to enter channels, in which until now, due to graphics, it was not possible.
