Founded in 1963, Caviar Riofrío is now a global benchmark for luxury and haute cuisine. It is one of Europe’s leading sturgeons aqua culturists and the first with ecological certification for caviar. They needed a special edition that would portray them for what they are: artisans.
Inspired by the Nasrid inlay technique, our limited edition for Riofrío captures the artisanal soul and develops its essence.
The Nasrid inlay is an ancient craft technique, typically Granadian, that has endured through time to the present day. Small workshops in Granada still produce pieces adorned with this age-old method.
Cultural Heritage and Contemporary Connections
This heritage from the Arab culture that flourished in these lands serves as a conceptual axis to project the Nasrid inlay into contemporary territories, reinventing or reimagining it.
From here, Nazzarii emerges, a crossroads between haute cuisine and craftsmanship.
An ancient artisanal technique like the Nasrid inlay and the breeding of Acipenser Naccarii, one of the most prized sturgeon varieties for caviar production: a fusion of concepts mysteriously intertwined in a unique product.
Natural Processes and Conceptual Developments
Nazzarii narrates the natural process that makes Caviar Riofrío unique. A journey in four chapters. The protagonists of this voyage are the mountain, from whose interior flows water of extraordinary purity; the stone, which filters the water and imparts its mineral properties; the serene water, which naturally maintains a stable temperature throughout the year, and Granada, whose latitude, similar to Persian lands, provides the ideal natural conditions for sturgeon breeding.
The four elements are reflected in the entire visual narrative of Nazzarii, elaborated, of course, following the tradition of Nasrid inlay.
