For over 60 years, the internationally active NGO has been committed to a just world – one where all people live with dignity, enjoy equal rights, share resources fairly, and respect the planet’s ecological boundaries.
As part of its strategic realignment, Brot für die Welt commissioned EIGA to refresh its brand identity. The result is a visual presence that reflects a younger, more engaged brand personality – open, connected, and ready to take action.
Evolution, Not Revolution. The redesign of the iconic wordmark – known worldwide for its distinctive “o” – strikes a deliberate balance between continuity and renewal. A new typeface reinforces the familiar logo while introducing soft, contemporary details. A unified typographic system – spanning the logo, sub-brands, design system, and all analog and digital media – ensures consistency and expressive power across every touchpoint.
Co-Creation as a Core Value. Alongside central themes like justice, compassion, impact, and credibility, the idea of participation plays a pivotal role. The design expresses the organization’s evolving brand character – including its activist edge – with clarity and conviction.
Visibility for People and Purpose. To direct attention with intent and amplify presence, EIGA developed the “Vibrants”: bold design elements that add energy and put both people and causes into sharp focus.
Design That Carries Stories. The layout system creates space for modern storytelling – across social media, campaigns, and all brand communications. It gives the brand the flexibility to speak emotionally or factually, and to connect meaningfully with different generations.
