Decoding Brands is a podcast by Anurag Bansal that simplifies the world of marketing and branding into honest, actionable insights. It’s built for curious minds—young marketers and entrepreneurs who want to understand how great brands actually work, without all the fluff. Each episode breaks things down in a way that feels real, engaging, and genuinely helpful. No jargon, no gatekeeping—just solid ideas that stick.
During the initial brainstorm, Anurag shared his original vision: robot hands digging out insights. A super interesting idea that perfectly captured the spirit of curiosity and discovery—but when applied to small formats like YouTube thumbnails, it struggled to hold up. Still, the concept itself stayed central. It reminded us of that drive we all feel when searching for answers on YouTube—curiosity, energy, and the need to decode.
We explored two strong visual directions, eventually landing on one inspired by retro pop culture. The final logo—a custom “A” blended with an eye—felt just right. It represented curiosity and insight, while also doubling as a door: a symbol of digging deeper. The soft edges and corners gave the identity a friendly, inviting tone, while the colour palette and typography amplified the retro, comfortable vibe.
We also built a simplified logomark that carried the same meaning, designed for small spaces without losing impact. The result? A brand that strikes the balance between being educational and exciting, professional and playful—made to stand out and stay memorable.
