Galatine: the icon becomes an ice cream.
Since 1956, Galatine has meant just one thing: milk-based candies, as simple as they are delicious. Like any true icon, the product instantly evokes well-defined sensations: an unmistakable taste, childhood memories, and a comforting sense of innocence.
The brand identity has been solidified by the choice to exclusively market milk tablets for over 70 years, communicated through distinctive visual assets: a vintage red logo on a splash of milk, framed by a white and blue striped background.
Extending such an iconic brand into the ice cream category is a delicate challenge—one that Sperlari has embraced in collaboration with Break. The brand now brings its values of authenticity, taste, and mindful pleasure into a new space, launching a product that remains true to the original recipe and unmistakable Galatine flavor.
Made with the same high-quality ingredients (first and foremost, Italian milk), the ice cream also introduces a few indulgent additions, like white chocolate flakes in the fiordilatte—the most iconic flavor—alongside strawberry and stracciatella.
Since recognizability and consistency are key, the brand carries over its signature storytelling into the new aisle, while staying attuned to the language of its new category, blending “bring & borrow” in just the right measure.
The main visual—a swirl of real milk cream—is both indulgent and refined, enriched with cheerful and playful elements.
Tying it all together is a tablet-shaped icon that speaks to Galatine’s “iconic flavor.”
All that’s left to do is taste 70 years of flavor in its freshest, most tempting form.
