Introduction:
What was once mere hope is now a reality: The long-lost pioneers of interdimensional time travel, Gabriel Copper and Tyler Brave, have once again emerged from the temporal rift known as »Beyond Black«! They return unscathed, bringing with them a fluid curiosity discovered on their latest adventure: »Circus Black« – The World’s Only Panopticon Rum. The character of this botanical rum is as dark as the story from which it originated:

Brand Story:
France – 1919
A young woman awakens deep in the forest, with no memory of who she is. As she searches for help, she stumbles upon the bizarre figures of the dark »Circus Black«, a traveling panopticon.

There, she meets the powerful bear-woman Ursa, whose raw strength can shatter massive oak logs. Crystelle, the »glass girl«, fascinates with her translucent skin that transforms beams of light into a hauntingly beautiful display, offering glimpses of her delicate form. And then there’s the eerie Osiris, an emaciated ruler of life and death, whose bony hand brings dead animals back to a tortured existence, sending chills down the spines of the audience. These three are just part of the dark secret of Circus Black, for seven more enigmatic creatures await discovery.

Among these macabre figures is the ancient fortune teller Madame Šzabo, who gives the memoryless woman the name Solitaire and quickly recognizes her talents as an herbalist.

Circus director Matthieu Duchant, a greedy and unscrupulous patron of the worst kind, also claims to know the young woman’s true identity. But he demands a price: Solitaire must refine an entire wagonload of rum with herbs, spices, and fruits to sell as a »miracle elixir« to the circus audience. With trepidation, the young woman agrees.

But soon, she discovers that Madame Šzabo uses dark tarot magic to turn the unfortunate circus freaks into her mindless puppets. In an unforeseen moment, the painful veils of amnesia begin to lift, and with each clearer thought, she uncovers piece by piece her true self. These sparks of memory ignite a sense of power and determination within her.

In an act of desperate resolve, Solitaire hatches a bold plan to break Madame Šzabo’s dark spell and free the captive creatures. But will her courage and strength be enough to free herself and the others from the cruel clutches of »Circus Black«?

Packaging:
This botanical rum is presented in an artfully designed masterpiece: a manually dusted bottle resembling a dark circus tent. The bottle neck is tightly wrapped with coarse twine, threaded through the hole of an antique 30-centimes coin – the entry fee for the attached ticket to the Black Circus. Protected by an eco-friendly closure that combines cork and carbon to reduce the ecological footprint, this unique spirit awaits its grand debut.

Each bottle is lovingly and meticulously decorated and aged. You won’t find mechanical assembly line work here. Instead, something extraordinary is crafted with great passion in time-consuming handwork. These handcrafted unique pieces are small works of art that go far beyond the mere enjoyment of a spirit – a homage to the extraordinary.

To fully appreciate »Circus Black« in all its glory, this bundle also includes »Solitaire’s Memoirs«. Fragilely held together by her lace hairband, this unique collection offers a comprehensive insight into the dramatic experiences of the young woman in 1919. On the backs of historical invoices and receipts, she has handwritten in English what befell her during the fateful time in »Circus Black«. These handwritten records, complemented by a photograph of Solitaire herself, a color image of the ruthless director Duchant, and seven souvenir postcards of the strange panopticon creatures, allow you to experience her accounts in an excitingly real way.
