Brandon Helps Celebrate Animal Welfare in a New Visual Identity for the Uk’s Number One Egg Brand

Brandon Helps Celebrate Animal Welfare in a New Visual Identity for the Uk’s Number One Egg Brand

Manchester and London based creative partnership, Brandon, has recently helped the UK’s leading egg brand ‘The Happy Egg Co’ to create and launch its first design overhaul since 2018, encompassing changes in packaging, point-of-sale materials, website, and social media. The updated packaging has started making its way to stores nationwide, including major retailers like Tesco, Co-op, Sainsbury’s, and ASDA.

Brandon collaborated with Noble Foods to drive this rejuvenated design with a commitment to refocus the brand on animal welfare, aiming to enhance transparency, showcase the numerous benefits of free-range eggs, and generate greater interest in the free-range sector as a whole. At the heart of this redesign includes the reintroduction of the iconic brand promise, ‘Happy Hens Lay Tasty Eggs.’

“Emphasising the welfare message was a top priority in Brandon’s design approach”, says Jonathan Rogers, Creative Director at Brandon.

“We aimed to highlight the well-being of hens by crafting a cheerful and playful landscape that showcases their freedom to roam in open woodland areas. This distinctive on-pack environment vividly brings the message “Happy hens lay happy eggs” to life“ he continues.

In this unique setting created by Brandon’s Senior Designer, Joe Wise, Freida the hen joyfully dances as the sun rises on a new day, creating a visually striking presence at shelf and at point of purchase. This design not only adds joy to the egg aisle but also successfully reinforces the connection between happy hens and the quality of the eggs they produce.
