Branding for Transformative Sunday a Series of Workshops

Today, mental health is becoming a societal issue but it is not easy to take care of yourself alone. More and more initiatives are appearing to accompany and help people who wish to work on themselves by creating convivial moments, rich in sharing.

Transformative Sunday is a series of workshops created by the psychosomatic therapist and actress Louise Chabat. The workshops take place one Sunday per month during which she invites a practitioner or a therapist to come and co-facilitate with her in a group. This is a day of personal development with the intention of a complete transformation — body, soul and spirit. Mixing the concept with dance, food or theater, these days aim to combine different tools to allow each person to find its own necessary resources to achieve the personal goal.

Group therapies can be frightening. To encourage people to participate it has been asked to design an attractive and cheerful identity. TT Trailers typography created by the TypeType Foundry was chosen for the logo. The multiplicity of its variations brings rhythm and playfulness to it.
Given the length of the name, it was decided to put the word « sunday » on two lines to create a block. On the one hand, it makes the word transformative more impactful. On the other hand, the concept will be brought to diversify (weekend, season, …) and the logo will be able to evolve and adapt itself according to the proposed formulas. A repertoire of smileys has been created from the typography in order to evoke the emotional impact of this human experience on the participants. A part of smiley has been integrated directly in the O of the logo and evokes at the same time an elevation showing the benefits of the workshops. The logo is accompanied by a retro and contrasted colour palette to counterbalance the medical and cold image of group therapy.
