Description
When you pass through the arches of Bona Trattoria you are transported to a world of recovery from the past – architecture, art and mythology of Italy. Bona is an Italian restaurant, located in the heart of the city of Foz do Iguaçu. The invitation to redesign this brand arose from the need to bring a more legible typography to the logo, a visual identity with the face of Italy and at the same time elegant and flexible (which is ready to operate beyond the gastronomy segment) without losing the heritage throughout its trajectory.

What is the project?
The project was based on various elements of Italian culture: triumphal arches, lions from ancient battles, swallows, olive oil, gladiators, horses. The Roman arches served as the main inspiration for the redesign of this brand, as they represent an important historical record of the country’s struggles and conquests as well as being present in the restaurant’s architecture.
As it is a company managed by a woman, female figures from Italian history were included in this project, such as the ‘’Gladiatrix’’ – Roman warriors who fought to ensure entertainment for the people.

Express the splendor of Italian culture in this company’s visual identity, with a clean and easy-to-understand design, allowing the public to explore historical elements and reflect on their role in time.

Defense – change behavior
In the restaurant’s visual identity and other points of contact, the customer enters a world that allows them to awaken their imagination to compose historical scenes, access to elements of Italian culture that are not only documented, but materialized. There’s no need to go to Italy for a “true Italian experience”, just cross the Bona arches. Today Bona is at the top of the ranking of the most elegant restaurants in the region, and a reference in Italian gastronomy in Paraná.
