Brand Identity for Playback Theater “Playback 01”

“playback 01” is a theater without a script, where the audience tells their stories, and the actors play them out on stage. Here each viewer has the opportunity to become a co-author and hero of the performance, literally see themselves from the outside and experience real catharsis together with everyone else.
In this theater every performance is born before our eyes and never repeats. Anyone sitting in the auditorium can tell aloud about an event, and it will immediately come to life on stage. It can be a fleeting impression, or something that sticks in your memory and does not give you peace for a long time. The presenter will ask the speaker to clarify the matter. And the actors-usually four of them-will not repeat the story literally, but play what they heard in it.
This theater has a psychotherapeutic effect, helps people look at themselves and the world around them from a different angle and expand the scope of their usual perception.
Goal and objective of the project: to develop an identity that will attract the attention of potential clients for cooperation and emphasize the relevance of the playback theater, its social and cultural significance.
The nature of the brand: an improvisational empath.
In this project, it was important to me to show theater at the intersection of art and psychotherapy, as well as to visually reflect the theme of “expanding the limits.” so the solution for the typography, is responsible for expanding the limits of habitual perception. Another “playback 01” is a reflection of life. a reflection of people’s stories. Illustrations are elements of the identity: silhouettes of people and hands are reflected in each other, creating structures similar to the Rorschach test.
