Brand Identity and Website for Kodland

Brand Identity and Website for Kodland

Kodland is an online education platform for digital skills. It provides an environment for kids to master digital skills that will help them to navigate in the new reality and create their own digital inventions. At Kodland kids are the main characters, they have the power to change the world.

Embacy worked with Kodland two years ago. Back then Kodland was a platform with online coding courses for kids. Since 2020 Kodland has developed significantly; now kids can learn not only coding but also web development, 3D modelling, web design, etcetera. Previous visual language proved not to be a good fit anymore. That’s why Kodland decided to rebrand.

Embacy had two major tasks: first, to create a new identity that will reflect the current product and its unique selling proposition; second, to develop such a visual language that will speak to different audiences (not only kids but also their parents).

Kodland’s new brand positioning is all about kids being future creators. This statement has become the main focus of a new brand identity. New visual language is about openness to children’s development and creativity. It is colorful and dynamic. The mission of the new brand identity is to speak directly and openly with kids in one language.

The color palette is youthful and vivid. Embacy used three main colors: light green (which is also called Kermit), light blue and pink.

The vivid color combination and small visual elements create a feeling that Kodland is a children’s territory. And it is indeed. Embacy designed the website as a friendly, joyful environment full of children’s happy faces.
