The GIG Grupo de Inovação de Gramado (Gramado Innovation Group) is a group formed by people who live in the city of Gramado, Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) and region, to promote, facilitate and create social opportunities such as employment, culture, debates, technology, and education, among other diverse subjects. The group is a public-private initiative.
The group is made up mostly of young people who want to provide the city with a future of better opportunities for everyone in the region. Gramado is a very touristy city, so there are several job opportunities related to tourism in the region. GIG wants to be the intermediary that connects young people who want to have their first job with companies that are available for hire.
This project was developed voluntarily by our studio that aims to promote and create opportunities for local people to feel part of the community.
During the process of creating this visual identity, one of the biggest challenges was to represent the name in a recognizable way that could be replicated in a practical way, without the need for a lot of effort on the part of the people who would handle the visual identity.
The visual identity is divided into three major themes: Innovation, Culture and Citizenship. The three topics are present in the separation by colors and circles that make up the visual system in the final result.
As a result, we used the circles present in the letters GIG to create the visual system of the visual identity. They are easy to reproduce and with a little ordering and criteria for use with certain colors, we created the facilitation for lay people to use the identity.
