Borrello Coffee Brand Identity and Packaging Design َby Acore

Borrello, named after a famous waterfall in Italy, is a premium coffee brand identity designed to capture the essence of movement, freshness, and the sensory experience of coffee. The flow and motion within the letterforms reflect the dynamics of a waterfall, with the “S” shape subtly embedded to evoke the swirl of coffee, creating a visual link between nature and the product.

At the heart of this identity lies the unique “B” symbol, interpreted in multiple forms—from coffee beans to bespoke character illustrations—creating a dynamic visual language that communicates the brand’s personality across various applications.

The project encompasses logo design, packaging design, and a custom illustration style, all carefully developed to reflect the premium quality and engaging experience of the brand. The packaging features a combination of bold and subtle elements, designed to attract consumers while emphasizing the freshness and vibrancy of the coffee. Borrello’s illustration style brings warmth and character, connecting the product to the customer through storytelling, playful details, and consistent visual cues.

Beyond packaging, the visual identity is applied across different touchpoints, including branded merchandise, store displays, and digital presence, ensuring a cohesive and recognizable brand experience. A key goal of Borrello is to create a close and engaging connection with a wide audience—men, women, athletes, and everyday coffee lovers alike. The custom characters are designed to enhance this connection: they can be associated with specific products, used in storytelling, or applied across social media and digital campaigns, creating a rich, flexible narrative for the brand.

The project demonstrates how a strong, flexible visual system can elevate a brand, making it not only visually appealing but also engaging, memorable, and aligned with the sensory and emotional experiences of its customers.
