Bombay Toy Company Brand Identity

Bombay Toy Company Brand Identity

Bombay Toy Company had a simple mission – to provide toys that foster imagination. A set of blocks can be a fort or a swimming pool – your child decides!

Toys are very important for a child’s growth. At Bombay Toy Company, they strive to see that the child has the freedom to play, and pushes kids to use their imagination with toys that are carefully crafted for their growth.

The aim is to design toys that are minimal and purposeful. Toys would be nothing without the child’s intervention. A child’s head, heart and hands at work is play. The toys are consciously designed and are thoughtfully chosen, made by our local Indian artisans, using sustainable materials like wood, cotton, wool, and natural dyes that ensure safety for children and the environment.

This thought spills into the brand identity for Bombay Toy Company. The logo is playful, colourful and emotive. This appeals to the kids as well as anyone associated with children. The colours are soft, but yet has enough vibrancy to be attractive. The typeface is carefully chosen and worked upon to look like blocks and shapes which children resonate easily with when they start playing with toys. The typeface is also inspired to reflect the handmade nature of artisanal toys. The logo is easily adaptive and versatile and can be used across various mediums when being used. Overall it brings out the feeling of freedom and joy in a kid.

We use organic cardboard boxes to protect the order along with protecting our mother nature.

Bombay Toy Company is a woman-run business, and donates 1% of their net profit to children with special needs.
