Blender is a single-blend whisky brand from the Laizhou Distillery. The concept of single-blend whisky originates from the Laizhou Distillery, which currently has a storage scale of over 300,000 casks of whisky. The term “single” refers to the blending of whiskies produced by the same distillery.
As a blended whisky brand, Blender carries a deeper brand philosophy that focuses on the profound connections between people. We aim to create Blender as a bridge for us and our consumers to co-create the future, a new generation of blended whisky. We want consumers to truly feel that they are part of the creation of Blender, and we will infuse their inspiration and passion into the innovative products of Blender.
We firmly believe that the charm of whisky lies not only in its exceptional taste but also in its ability to serve as a bridge connecting people and cultures.
Therefore, the birth of Blender whisky also marks the birth of a new model, deeply collaborating with users in co-creation. We are committed to combining diverse flavor concepts and innovative ideas from users to bring more genuine feedback and enjoyment to every whisky enthusiast.
Blender Single Blended Whisky Genesis Edition is a masterpiece born from the fusion of artisanal craftsmanship and modern technology. Crafted by a new generation of master blenders, this whisky explores 52 cask types and 245 flavor profiles to create a uniquely Chinese expression of blended whisky.
With an exceptional 70% malt whisky ratio complemented by first-fill oak casks, it delivers a silky-smooth, balanced, and full-bodied palate that embodies the spirit of multicultural convergence and collaborative innovation. The complex liquid unfolds layers of dark fruit essences, velvety vanilla creaminess, and delicate cinnamon spice, culminating in an enduring finish.
Blender Genesis Edition harmonizes technical precision with symbolic storytelling. The five-ring crown symbolizes the “Five Oceans” unification, reflecting the art of blending. Adorning the neck is the Pixiu – the mythical Chinese guardian beast – conveying blessings of prosperity and fortune. As an exclusive cultural emblem on a Chinese whisky brand, it expresses the wish to share auspicious energy with consumers, fostering emotional connections and mutual success. The bottle’s ombré gradient from light to deep black visualizes the transformative power of time and craftsmanship, mirroring the whisky’s maturation journey towards ultimate depth.
A metal plaque on the packaging underscores Blender’s commitment to professional excellence and consumer trust, balancing vibrant community values with expert craftsmanship. Both bottle and gift box integrate the wisdom of Chinese Five Elements (Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth) – each corresponding to whisky-making stages. The pentagonal design motif embodies the perfect marriage of Eastern philosophy and Western distilling artistry, mirroring the whisky’s balanced complexity.
At the very beginning of the design process, we have been contemplating how to convey the theme of emotional sublimation that the Blender brand wants to express between people. Blender acts as a bridge for emotional connections between individuals. So, how can we use design to convey this emotion? How can we express that blended whisky is not just about blending the liquid itself, but more importantly, it is about blending the emotions between people—between us and our consumers, and among consumers themselves?
We have explored design concepts from a cultural perspective to communicate with consumers. For example, the Five Elements of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth can better help our target audience understand the comprehensiveness, professionalism, precision, and reliability of the blended whisky production process. We have also incorporated the cultural element of the Pixiu, a mythical Chinese creature, to create an emotional connection with consumers. Our consumers resonate strongly with such auspicious totems, and they quickly understand that the Blender brand aims to convey a sense of emotional blessing and positive expression.
Using design to evoke associations of joyful gatherings has been a deeply considered design strategy for us. By integrating these elements, we aim to create a product that not only appeals to the senses but also fosters a sense of togetherness and shared experience
