Benjamin Blue Natural Spring Water
This project presents the design of a premium spring water label built on a clear strategic premise: to create perceived value through heritage, graphic precision, and visual storytelling, without falling into cliché or unnecessary ornamentation.
The Benjamin Blue label draws inspiration from historical documents and security printing aesthetics, engravings, guilloché patterns, signatures, and seals, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens. Every element serves a strategic purpose: to convey authenticity, authority, and trust, three critical brand assets in a highly commoditized category such as bottled water.
The central illustration, rooted in foundational American imagery, avoids nostalgic excess and instead delivers symbolic legitimacy. The visual system references banknotes and official certificates, reinforcing notions of origin, purity, and control. The color palette, soft blues, gold accents, and refined greens, balances freshness with sophistication, positioning the product firmly in the premium segment without appearing ostentatious.
Typography plays a key role by combining high-authority classic serif typefaces with a fluid handwritten signature. This contrast bridges the institutional and the human, strengthening brand character and enhancing visual memorability. The carefully structured composition ensures clarity at shelf level and strong impact from a distance.
Additionally, it is important to highlight that this design was conceived as an information-rich tribute honoring Adela Martínez, mother of the company’s CEO, Marco Martínez.
Her presence is embedded in the label not as a decorative gesture, but as a meaningful layer of the brand narrative. The abundance of details, references, and graphic cues reinforces the idea of legacy, care, and personal history, transforming the product into a symbolic homage. This approach humanizes the brand and adds emotional equity, anchoring the visual identity in real values rather than abstract marketing claims.
