Ballantine’s Dreamworld Gift Packaging Design Creation by Boundless Brand Design

The facilitator of meaningful moments, Ballantine’s collaborates with Boundless Brand Design on a duo of gift packs reflecting the thematic of Dreams.

With roots dating back to 1827, Ballantine’s is a Scotch Whisky with status and credibility. Looking to drive reappraisal and recruit the new discerning drinker, Ballantine’s partnered with Boundless to create contemporary and premium High Ball gift packaging for two of their prestige Whiskies, Ballantine’s 17YO and Ballantine’s Single Malt Glenburgie 12YO.

Leveraging Ballantine’s communication platform ‘Time Well Spent’, the designs needed to communicate the dreams and aspiration of the drinkers, a proposition that would respond to the Korean consumers’ new drinking habits around the highball whilst pushing sales of the two Whiskies.

Boundless created two designs inspired by the idea of meaningful moments, reflecting the thematic of dreams and aspirations. With artistic illustrations, each gift pack showcases dreams and occasions through the lens of the ice enjoyed within highballs. Just as the ice in the highball draws out the flavour of Ballantine’s, Boundless have used the ice cubes to reflect different facets of the dream thematic, depicting different perspectives as a window into dreams. Using bold and contrasting colour palettes, the packs drive standout and impact at fixture, and whilst each whisky showcases an alternative aspiration and story, there remains clear consistency in style throughout the collection. Injecting the distinctive Ballantine’s B into the detailed illustration adds further depth and distinctiveness to the overall look and feel.
