Working on the Deke Resolute project, I aimed to create a brand that immerses itself in the rich heritage and strength symbolised by the goat, a timeless emblem for the people of the Toros Mountains in Turkey. The goat, celebrated for its resilient and determined nature, became the perfect representation of Deke Resolute’s unwavering commitment to quality and perseverance.

My goal was to craft an identity for Deke Resolute that went beyond just coffee—it needed to be an experience to share. The vision was to elevate the coffee experience by meticulously sourcing and brewing the finest beans, creating a sanctuary of simplicity and premium ambiance that delighted the senses and enriched lives.

The creative journey began with deep research into the cultural significance of the Toros Mountains and the enduring symbol of the goat. This foundation ensured that every design element authentically resonated with the brand’s essence of determination and resilience. The goat, standing as a symbol of tenacity, became central to the brand. To complement this, I chose a color palette inspired by the earthy tones of the Toros Mountains, alongside typography that spoke of strength and sophistication.

One challenge was blending a rich cultural narrative with a modern and accessible design. By focusing on authentic elements and merging them with contemporary aesthetics, I achieved a harmonious design that bridged the past and present seamlessly.

The final design encapsulates the spirit of Deke Resolute beautifully. From the logo to the packaging, each detail embodies the richness and determination of the Toros Mountains, offering a truly exceptional coffee experience. The feedback from both the client and community has been overwhelmingly positive, affirming that the brand’s deep connection to its roots, paired with its modern appeal, strikes the right chord with today’s coffee enthusiasts.

Looking back on this project, it reinforced the importance of understanding cultural heritage and effectively translating it into a compelling brand narrative. DEKE Resolute has evolved into more than just a coffee brand; it represents a journey and an experience deeply rooted in tradition and an unyielding spirit, inviting everyone to savor the essence of something truly exceptional.
